About

Hi! We’re Mycelium Marketing, a passionate team of marketers located in the Pacific Northwest. We use data-driven strategies to grow your outdoor brand’s revenue and customer connections, much like mycelium feeds and connects the trees of a forest. We believe that the health of any thriving ecosystem, or business, comes from creating rich, meaningful connections. Social media advertising is integral to your company’s future success.

mycelium

noun, plural my·ce·li·a  [mahy-see-lee-uh]. Mycology.

The mass of branched, tubular filaments (hyphae) of fungi. The mycelium makes up the thallus, or undifferentiated body, of typical fungi. Mycelium is said to be the “neural network of the forest” sending messages and nutrients between all the plants and trees.

The Team

Kevin Park

Co-founder

I’ve been working in the realm of e-commerce and marketing since 2007. Since that time, I’ve helped a wide variety of businesses; from local artisans to non-profit organizations to multi-million dollar international outdoor gear brands. I also helped to develop our own little side project, We Are Wildness, into a thriving online business with over 530,000 supporters across our social media channels, which included an e-commerce store on Shopify, and an online school which has nearly 20,000 students to date.

My experience in setting up and optimizing e-commerce platforms (online stores), social media marketing and advertising, and brand development in the Outdoor and Health and Wellness Industries give me a deep well of expertise to draw from and apply to your business.

I treat all businesses that I work with as if they were my own, because I know firsthand just how much courage it takes to put yourself out there. It takes a lot of work to build and grow a business. Your success is important to me, and I bring the same level of passion, attention to detail and personal care no matter what size the project, or where you are at on your online business journey.

I'm deeply passionate about helping purpose-driven businesses grow into their highest vision and make a bigger positive impact in the world.

I look forward to learning about your business and discussing your vision. Let’s connect!

Testimonials

We have always considered our 6-year-old nature-based business very mission-driven, authentic and organic, so the idea of going the route of paid social ads took time to digest. Social media marketing these days is very competitive so your strategy needs to be strong to achieve a good ROI. What we have experienced after 6 months is that they truly care, their communication is great, their approach is very quantified yet intuitive and forward thinking, and they know how to communicate with our eco-conscientious audience. We feel fortunate to have teamed up with these guys as the experience has been enjoyable and very educational. These guys have certainly helped improve the visibility of our brand and discover our voice that resonates with our unique audience. With the success of our business being the paramount interest of Mycelium Marketing, they have provided other non-advertising consulting to clarifying our web presence and improve conversions. If you have an eco-based business I would strongly recommend collaborating with Mycelium Marketing to find your brand's voice and audience, so we can help to raise the consciousness of the Earth. Working with these awesome folks feels more like a remote team than an independent marketing firm--give them a shot!

Michael DallyFounder, Earth Runners

Working with Alissa and Kevin has been one of the best moves our company made when looking to grow our branding and online media presence. They were thorough, innovative and created great content that matched the look and feel we were hoping for beautifully. I would recommend them to any small business wanting to bring their online presence to the next level.

Yarrow WillardFounder, Harmonic Arts Botanical Dispensary

My initial concerns with "spending money ineffectively" or "coming across as inauthentic" were immediately placated in my introductory conversations with Kevin and Alissa. Working with "genuine" people, helped me feel confident they would portray my brand in a "genuine" way!

Kevin and Alissa repeatedly undertook complex new projects on behalf of my business and made consistently accurate decisions with minimal oversight. I simply did not have the time to jumpstart and then babysit a variety of new marketing projects, but fortunately, by working with these two, I didn't have to.

Over the holiday period this past year, we were able to reach more people despite decreasing trends of engagement across platforms. As competition for meaningful customer-impressions increases, it has felt increasingly critical to be working with a team like Mycelium Marketing.

I hesitate to provide such a glowing review, but only because I want these guys all to myself 😉 They are an amazing power-couple who's positive impact on my business in the last 6 months can't be overstated,

“I believe that mycelium is the neurological network of nature. Interlacing mosaics of mycelium infuse habitats with information-sharing membranes. These membranes are aware, react to change, and collectively have the long-term health of the host environment in mind. The mycelium stays in constant molecular communication with its environment, devising diverse enzymatic and chemical responses to complex challenges.”
